Brian Jones

Brian Jones is a consultant who has been working with the Restek R&D Department for over two years in this role. He has been a member of the RMX GC column development team and had responsibility for the discovery of new technologies and mentoring of the scientific staff. He received a doctorate degree in organic chemistry from Brigham Young University and worked in the chromatography research and development field for over forty years developing skills in organosilicon, polymer and surface chemistry, column technology, instrumentation design, electronics, and computer control. Before becoming a consultant, Brian was a research fellow for many years at Restek Corporation, cofounding the Discovery Group and directing teams that developed numerous successful new products for the company. He also received the Restek President’s Award for work related to the GC inlet liner products, out of which the Topaz product line was a result.
