- Less retention of nonpolar analytes for faster analysis times.
- Proprietary column packing of superficially porous particles (SPP) and premium hardware.
- Superior performance in cannabis, food, clinical, and environmental testing.
Restek’s Raptor C8 columns boast the dependability of our Raptor line with the capability of achieving even faster analysis times compared to C18 columns. Defined by superior ruggedness and reproducibility, Raptor columns are the go-to choice for even the most challenging workflows.
Featuring SPP core-shell” technology and a highly-selective monomeric octylsilane phase, our Raptor C8 column is a high-performing, general-purpose column for cannabis, food, clinical, and environmental testing. With a shorter alkyl chain than a traditional C18 column, this Raptor C8 boasts increased analysis speeds and improved peak shape. Like all of our Raptor columns, this Raptor C8 is exceptionally durable with long column lifetimes and dependable reproducibility.

PEth Homologues in Whole Blood on Raptor C8: Excellent Column Lifetimes and Lot-to-Lot Reproducibility with No Carryover
Using the Raptor C8 column, a robust and accurate analysis of the two most predominant phosphatidylethanol (PEth) homologues in whole blood was developed using a simple protein precipitation. PEth compounds are prone to carryover, but when utilizing the Raptor C8 column, no carryover was detected (Figure 1). Additionally, the Raptor C8 column demonstrated long column lifetimes and exceptional reproducibility from lot-to-lot (Figures 2 and 3).
