Des limites de d\u00e9tection instrumentales de 10 picogrammes, voire moins, ont \u00e9t\u00e9 atteintes pour tous les compos\u00e9s, \u00e0 l\u2019exception de l\u2019acide benzo\u00efque (14,70 pg) et du 2,4-dinitroph\u00e9nol (11,53 pg).<br>L\u2019\u00e9cart-type relatif (%RSE) des courbes d\u2019\u00e9talonnage \u00e9tait \u2264 20 % pour tous les compos\u00e9s. Les gammes d\u2019\u00e9talonnage allaient de 1-1000 ppb \u00e0 10-1000 ppb pour tous les compos\u00e9s hormis l\u2019acide benzo\u00efque dont la plage s\u2019\u00e9tendait de 50 \u00e0 1000 ppb.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Introduction<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Les laboratoires environnementaux analysent r\u00e9guli\u00e8rement les compos\u00e9s organiques semi-volatils (COSV) par GC-MS ou par GC-MS\/MS, comme la m\u00e9thode EPA US 8270E par exemple. Les laboratoires adoptent de plus en plus les m\u00e9thodes GC-MS\/MS car la meilleure s\u00e9lectivit\u00e9 du d\u00e9tecteur permet des analyses plus sensibles telles que celles requises pour la m\u00e9thode de micro-extraction EPA 3511. Cette m\u00e9thode permet un gain de temps et une r\u00e9duction de la consommation de solvant par rapport aux m\u00e9thodes classiques de pr\u00e9paration des \u00e9chantillons, pouvant utiliser jusqu\u2019\u00e0 un litre d&#8217;\u00e9chantillon. Pour profiter pleinement de la sensibilit\u00e9 de la MS\/MS, la colonne analytique doit pr\u00e9senter une haute inertie afin d&#8217;optimiser le rapport signal\/bruit.<br>Une d\u00e9sactivation efficace de la colonne est essentielle pour garantir de bonnes performances de la m\u00e9thode sur une large gamme de compositions chimiques, qui interagissent par divers m\u00e9canismes avec les sites actifs pr\u00e9sents \u00e0 la surface de la colonne. Dans cette \u00e9tude, la colonne RMX-5Sil MS a \u00e9t\u00e9 \u00e9valu\u00e9e de mani\u00e8re ind\u00e9pendante sur ses performances analytiques pour une large gamme de compos\u00e9s semi-volatils \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9tat de traces, notamment pour des compos\u00e9s connus difficiles \u00e0 analyser. Les performances analytiques et les plages d\u2019\u00e9talonnage ont \u00e9t\u00e9 \u00e9tudi\u00e9es pour \u00e9valuer la capacit\u00e9 de la colonne \u00e0 atteindre des niveaux de d\u00e9tection de l\u2019ordre de picogramme.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">M\u00e9thode exp\u00e9rimentale<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Pr\u00e9paration des \u00e9talons<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Des solutions d\u2019\u00e9talonnage multi-compos\u00e9s ont \u00e9t\u00e9 pr\u00e9par\u00e9s dans le chlorure de m\u00e9thyl\u00e8ne \u00e0 partir des solutions \u00e9talons commercialis\u00e9es, sur une gamme de concentration de 1 \u00e0 1000 ppb (11 points).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Conditions analytiques<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Les \u00e9chantillons ont \u00e9t\u00e9 analys\u00e9s sur une colonne RMX-5Sil MS de 30 m, DI 0.25 mm, 0.25 \u03bcm (r\u00e9f. 17323). L\u2019\u00e9lution du dernier compos\u00e9 a eu lieu en moins de 21 minutes (Figure 1). Pour \u00e9valuer l\u2019inertie de la colonne, les train\u00e9es de pics ont \u00e9t\u00e9 mesur\u00e9es aux extr\u00e9mit\u00e9s basse et haute de la plage d&#8217;\u00e9talonnage lin\u00e9aire pour des compos\u00e9s acides et basiques r\u00e9put\u00e9s particuli\u00e8rement complexes. La Figure 2 montre que la surface inerte a limit\u00e9 l\u2019interaction des compos\u00e9s avec la surface \u00e0 des faibles concentrations, et a am\u00e9lior\u00e9 la sym\u00e9trie des pics. Elle a donc permis une int\u00e9gration facile et pr\u00e9cise, m\u00eame pour les compos\u00e9s difficiles \u00e0 int\u00e9grer \u00e0 de faibles concentrations. En outre, la surface n\u2019a pas alt\u00e9r\u00e9 la s\u00e9lectivit\u00e9 des polym\u00e8res, comme le montre la bonne s\u00e9paration de la paire d\u2019hydrocarbures aromatiques polycycliques (HAP), \u00e0 \u00e9lution rapproch\u00e9e, le benzo(b) fluoranth\u00e8ne et le benzo(k)fluoranth\u00e8ne, \u00e0 une concentration de 1 ppb.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" L\u2019\u00e9cart-type relatif de la courbe d\u2019\u00e9talonnage \u2264 20 % \u00e9tait conforme aux objectifs de qualit\u00e9 des donn\u00e9es pour l\u2019\u00e9talonnage. En outre, la valeur du R2, d\u00e9termin\u00e9e pour un sous-ensemble repr\u00e9sentatif de compos\u00e9s semi-volatils, \u00e9tait \u2265 0,99 pour tous les compos\u00e9s \u00e9valu\u00e9s.<br>Pour la totalit\u00e9 des compos\u00e9s semi-volatils, les courbes d\u2019\u00e9talonnage variaient de 1-1000 ppb \u00e0 10-1000 ppb, \u00e0 part l\u2019acide benzo\u00efque (courbe d\u2019\u00e9talonnage : 50-1000 ppb). Cette plage lin\u00e9aire l\u00e9g\u00e8rement plus haute pour l\u2019acide benzo\u00efque \u00e9tait attendue, en raison de sa faible solubilit\u00e9 dans les phases stationnaires de type 5.<br>Enfin, des limites de d\u00e9tection instrumentales tr\u00e8s basses ont \u00e9t\u00e9 atteintes, et se situaient au-dessous de 10 pg pour l\u2019ensemble des compos\u00e9s semi-volatils \u00e0 \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9tat de traces (moins d\u2019une dizaine de ppb) par GC-MS\/MS. La colonne a montr\u00e9 une inertie vis-\u00e0-vis d\u2019une grande vari\u00e9t\u00e9 de compositions chimiques (acides, bases, et compos\u00e9s neutres) et a g\u00e9n\u00e9r\u00e9 d\u2019excellentes courbes d\u2019\u00e9talonnages lin\u00e9aires. La forme et la sym\u00e9trie des pics sont rest\u00e9es intactes, m\u00eame \u00e0 des faibles concentrations auxquelles les compos\u00e9s actifs sont particuli\u00e8rement difficiles \u00e0 analyser.
