I PFAS a catena ultra-corta stanno acquisendo sempre maggiore importanza perch\u00e9 sono spesso presenti nelle acque ambientali (per es., pioggia, fiumi e acque sotterranee) e si \u00e8 riscontrato che compongono almeno il 40% dei PFAS totali nei campioni d\u2019acqua. I PFAS a catena ultra-corta comprendono l\u2019acido trifluoroacetico (TFA), che \u00e8 il pi\u00f9 abbondante e al contempo uno dei pi\u00f9 difficili da analizzare, l\u2019acido perfluoropropionico (PFPrA), l\u2019acido perfluoroetansolfonico (PFEtS) e l\u2019acido perfluoropropansolfonico (PFPrS). Per un programma di monitoraggio dell\u2019acqua \u00e8 di fondamentale importanza la completezza dei metodi di analisi dei PFAS, che devono garantire risultati affidabili per i composti a catena ultracorta (TFA incluso) e per i PFAS alternativi e tradizionali.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>L\u2019aspetto critico dell\u2019analisi del TFA \u00e8 la ritenzione limitata e\/o la scarsa resa cromatografica sulle colonne a fase inversa e HILIC. Altre colonne che enfatizzano forti meccanismi di scambio ionico, invece, presentano il problema opposto, ovvero troppa ritenzione e forme del picco di bassa qualit\u00e0. Invece, il TFA pu\u00f2 essere trattenuto e analizzato in maniera affidabile sulle colonne Raptor Polar X grazie alla presenza di un unico ligando ibrido che combina i meccanismi di ritenzione HILIC e a scambio ionico. Come qui illustrato, \u00e8 stato delineato un metodo LC-MS\/MS facile e veloce per l\u2019analisi completa dei PFAS, compresi C2, C3, C4, C6, C8 e i PFAS alternativi. \u00c8 possibile includere anche i PFAS a catena pi\u00f9 lunga. Questo metodo pu\u00f2 essere applicato all\u2019analisi dell\u2019acqua sia potabile che non potabile e offre un set-up ideale, garantendo un\u2019elevata produttivit\u00e0 ai laboratori interessati ad aggiungere composti a catena ultra-corta a un\u2019analisi dei PFAS esistente.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-custom-chromatogram-article-top\"><div class=\"chromatogram-article-placeholder\"><div
