Restek’s sample preparation cartridges and plates are made from the finest grade of reagents and materials available. The shelf life of our Resprep products vary depending on the material used and how they are stored.
Resprep reversed-phase, silica-based cartridges (C18, C8, Carbon, Diol, NH2, and PSA) and Resprep HLB, MCX, MAX, WCX, WAX, and S-DVB cartridges will remain intact for a period that exceeds three years if they have not been exposed to extreme conditions (temperature, handling, etc.) and the bags are not open to air and moisture. After three years, the cartridges or plates should be monitored periodically for any changes in performance.
We recommend users rotate their inventory after five years to eliminate potential down time caused by any changes in performance.
