Towards Greener Workflows with Clever Method Development

22 Jan 2026

Analytical labs face growing demands to reduce energy use, solvent waste, and costs without sacrificing performance. Traditional workflows often rely on time-consuming sample prep and multiple methods, increasing environmental impact and complexity. Our solution combines virtual method development tools and advanced chromatography phases to create greener, more efficient workflows. Tools like the Pro EZLC Chromatogram Modeler and Method Translator enable remote optimization and modernization of methods, cutting instrument time, solvent use, and energy consumption. Key to multi-method development is selecting the right stationary phase. While conventional C18 phases struggle with diverse analytes, Biphenyl phases offer enhanced selectivity through π–π and hydrophobic interactions, allowing consolidation of multiple analyses on a single column. This simplifies workflows, reduces material costs, and minimizes errors. By integrating innovative tools and versatile columns, laboratories can streamline operations, save resources, and support sustainability—all without compromising analytical quality.
